Hey! Sorry we’ve been gone so long. We have a lot of work left to make this site look good, but we wanted to be able to get information out to you quickly (no matter how blandly presented), so we’re publishing this basic version .
For now, you can see the events we have coming up soon (Sisters of the Sea contest and SOS/Surfrider End of the Summer Bash, for example), get in touch with us, or check out Our Friends.
Thanks for visiting the site! Check back often for updates.
The Sisters of the Sea are holding their 12th Annual SOS Surf Classic this Saturday (presented by Sunkist). There will be ladies-only Novice and Advanced Divisions, and a Tandem Division and Surfrider Division open to men and women. You need to be a member of the Surfrider Foundation to enter into the Surfrider Division, so now would be a great time to renew your membership (or get your first). Its $30 per division if you register before the day of the contest ($50 to register at the beach), and you get a bunch of goodies as well as $5 off the price of admission for the SOS/Surfrider End of Summer Bash afterward at Paco’s . Proceeds benefit ‘Bosom Buddies’ at the Women’s Center of Jacksonville, a local non-profit organization that supports breast cancer survivors. If you’re not surfing, come out, watch a great contest, and meet some cool surfing girls (you can even help out at the event or make a donation to SOS or Surfrider).
When: Saturday, September 11, 2010 @ 8:00am to 5:00pm
Where: On the south side of the Jacksonville Beach Pier (4th Ave N and the beach in Jacksonville Beach, FL)
